Awspire Productions

The first arm of the Awspire brand was started in 2007 to launch a new level of music production and composition. The first endeavor was producing for Gospel superstar CeCe Winans on her 8th solo album; Thy Kingdom Come. Awspire’s Lead producer; Chris Capehart Executive Produced the project as well as produced three of the albums songs; “Ill Live For You” , “Oh Holy Place” and the hit single; “Waging War” . The album went on the win a Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel LP in 2009, and hit #1 on the Gospel Album charts. Currently the album has sold 3 million copies worldwide.

Chris Capehart is a true entrepreneur who aside from being a successful real estate entrepreneur is also an accomplished Grammy nominated producer and songwriter . Chris; who is also known by his peers in the music industry as “Caleil” is an established song writer/producer who executive produced the Grammy award winning album by CeCe Winans named “Thy Kingdom Come”. Chris also wrote and produced 3 songs on the album, one of which was the #1 hit single from the album “Waging War”. The song was nominated for a Grammy Award. Mr. Capehart was also personally nominated by the Dove Awards as a song writer for the song.

Mr. Capehart has been involved with all types of businesses ventures from million dollar estate purchases, church expansion projects, record label executive oversight, event production, to music deal negotiations. Mr. Capehart has proven himself to be a man ahead of his years in wisdom and experience; an innovative thinker, and problem solver with a heart for people to live out their dreams and visions.

Currently, Chris is working very diligently to expand his brand as record label owner. Chris Capehart is the owner and CEO of Awspire Entertainment, as full service independent recording label developing talent in the genre of Gospel, R&B and Pop music. He is in the process of working on the debut album project for his group; Iconic Journey as well as a Humanitarian charity project.

Iconic Journey

Iconic Journey is a multicultural ensemble of powerhouse vocalists divinely designed to spread the story of God’s grace and the preservation of humanity through song. Strongly bound together by their individual testimonies of triumphs and tragedy involving racial persecution, poverty, drug addiction, and homelessness; Iconic Journey is no ordinary group.

Formed just s short time ago in 2013 and claiming the South as their home (Georgia and Tennessee); Iconic Journey has already begun leaving an infallible impression on audiences. In 2013 they were humbled to receive an invitation from the White House in Washington DC, and the family of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr; to perform at a ceremony honoring the iconic civil rights leader. The stellar performance caught the attention of Dr. King Jr.’s daughter and CEO of the King Center in Atlanta; Dr. Bernice King; who invited them to bless her home state of Georgia with a performance for this year’s 2014 Martin Luther King Jr. Annual Commemorative service in observance of the King Holiday.

With two major life changing performances underway so early in their existence; the group is eager to continue on their mission in spreading social responsibility and inspiration to everyone. Currently, Iconic Journey is in the studio recording their first album project with Grammy nominated producer and founder of the group; Chris Capehart. The group promises to deliver in their music a mirror image to who they are..a melodic blend of musical styles from Country, Calypso, African infused rhythms aligned with R&B and Gospel sounds. Additionally, Iconic Journey is excited that they will lend their vocals as a part of a independent Humanitarian charity LP later this year.

Music is the glue bridging the gap between people of all walks of life and in this day and age where the world is plagued by unjust persecution, bullying of our youth, mass terrorism, and the list goes on; it is the goal of Iconic Journey to jump start the cultural conversation and spread a powerful message of restoration, faith, and love.
